Our Chocolate Orange Spiced Chai offers tradition with a twist. Indian black tea leaves are blended with masala spices and brought to life with a touch of orange peel and crushed cacao. All naturally preserved in local Victorian honey.

Tasting notes -

The spice blend is more cinnamon based with a touch of cacao and orange peel which gives it a smooth and mellow flavour profile. It’s like a chai met a hot chocolate and they fell in love! Most chai traditionalist are so surprised when they love this one. Tastes like a hot cross bun :-)

Caffeine -

Although there is a small amount of black tea in the blend, a standard cup only contains 9mg of caffeine. Compared to 65-120mg in black tea and 85-240mg in coffee.

Stovetop -
Add 2 teaspoons and 1/4 cup of water to a pot and simmer for 1 minute to infuse. Add 1 cup of milk and simmer for a further 2-3 minutes. Strain and enjoy.

Coffee Machine -
Add 2 teaspoons and 1/4 cup of boiling water to your milk jug and leave to infuse for 1-2 minutes. Add 1 cup of milk and steam, leave to infuse for 2-3 minutes. Strain and enjoy.

Teapot -
Add 2 teaspoons and 1/2 cup of boiling water to your teapot and leave to infuse for 1-2 minutes. Add 1 cup of hot milk, leave to infuse for 2-3 minutes and enjoy. Double quantities for tea for two.

Absolute favourite tea of all time!

Making a cup of Chocolate Orange Spiced Tea has become a daily ritual that slows me down and makes me give myself a few moments in typically busy days. I enjoy every moment, from choosing which infuser to use, measuring out the pleasing clumps of aromatic tea, and pouring the boiling water into the cup and breathing in the aromatic steamy scent of Christmas, then leisurely sipping in my favourite cup. Sometimes I will take longer and heat up my tea in the saucepan, and add warmed milk until my tea is frothy and caramel coloured. A few moments of self-love and pampering to remind myself to slow down. I have now subscribed to a regular delivery, so I can enjoy every day a little more.

Nothing beats a chocolate orange chai

I come back to this tea over and over again. Purchased and sampled others at markets but this one shines. The orange brings a smile and the chocolate comfort.
