Processing Timeframes

As we are a small business and we like to get orders out promptly as our main priority, but more often than not we only have a couple of hands on deck (two) to do all the heavy lifting. We generally pick, pack and get orders ready for dispatch on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week.

Standard Shipping

  • Standard delivery is a flat rate of $9 per order (or FREE on orders over $100).
  • Each time you place an order and then the order is fulfilled - you will receive all the tracking details in an email which provides a delivery estimate (kind of like an ETA). This will give you an idea of how long parcels like yours typically take to travel the route you’ve chosen but remember these are not a guaranteed delivery date as we send everything from our Melbourne HQ.
  • Standard delivery can take longer during busier times.
  • Deliveries are not actioned on public holidays because we are busy doing other fun, non-work things.
Here are some approx. timelines for you to consider from Australia Post:
  • Sydney: 3 - 7 business days
  • Melbourne: 2 - 5  business days
  • Brisbane: 3 - 7 business days
  • Perth: 5 - 10 business days
  • Hobart: 3 - 7 business days
  • Adelaide: 5 - 10 days
Rural and other areas outside of metropolitan areas can take longer.

Express Post

  • Express delivery is a flat rate of $13 per order.
  • Express deliveries can go to a postal address or PO Box.
  • Note: Mixed Bag is based in the Melbourne Metro area. 

    Receiving the Order

    Should no one be home to receive the package the courier will either leave the package in a safe place or alternatively a card will be left for the recipient to pick the parcel from a local pick-up point which will be outlined on the card that is left.

    Incorrect Shipping Details

    On the off chance your order has been dispatched and you have put in the incorrect address, Mixed Bag is not responsible in retrieving the package. Should the package be returned to us, we will happily send a new package for a fee. This fee must be paid prior to dispatch. 

    Extra Notes

    Should there be any issues with the delivery process, we will always do our best to follow up Australia Post on your behalf however once the order has been dispatched there is very little we can do to intervene but we will always try. We appreciate all the love, patience and understanding you have regarding this.
